Soccer

Since 2013, Thomas has been a board member of the Farmingdale Soccer Club. His responsibilities included training the club's referees. Thomas has concluded his time a a board member in June 2021. Prior to joining the club's board, he served as a youth soccer coach within the Farmingdale Soccer Club's Intramural Program.

Since 2014, Thomas has been a Grade 8 Youth Soccer Referee. Thomas also serves as a mentor, evaluting younger referees..

Softball

Thomas currently serves on the board for the Over the Hill Gang Men's Softball League. He joined the league as a player in 2010. Because of his knowledge of the game and respect for the rules, Thomas was asked to join the board in 2015.

Each year, the Over the Hill Softball League hosts a charity event to raise money for a member or famil in the community who has shown a great financial need. Thomas assists the league in helping the organization with this annual event.
